Shannon Lear is an Associate in the firm’s Cleveland office. Her practice is centered on civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense. She has experience at state trial and appellate levels defending healthcare providers in negligence and malpractice actions. Her litigation practice includes the defense of clients in actions for personal injury and property damage. She has also defended clients in administrative matters, including licensure challenges, investigations of employment discrimination charges, and administrative appeals.

Shannon is a published author, her Note titled The Fight Over Encryption: Reasons Why Congress Must Block the Government from Compelling Technology Companies to Create Backdoors into their Devices appearing in the Cleveland State Law Review in 2018. She is also a member of the William K. Thomas American Inn of Court.
